A: Poksel is a creative brand - our flagship product is pixel portrait. It turns your photos into custom pixel art, perfect for personal gifts like birthdays, anniversaries, and more.
Q: Is this LEGO?
A: We are not LEGO and are a local brand registered in Indonesia. We are not affiliated with the LEGO Group. However, there is a similar product called Lego Mosaic.
Ordering & Customization
Q: How to order?
A: Send us your photo (alternative 1-3). We’ll design and send you a preview. If you like it, you can checkout through our sales channels. You can request edits to your liking.
Q: What type of photos work best?
A: Typically faces, but also pets (dogs/cats), anime characters, dolls, etc. Optimal photos are:
- Not too far away
- No objects covering the face
- Good lighting, not too bright or dark
Q: Is it monochrome?
A: Yes, it uses 5 shades of grey and 1 background color. You can choose the background color.
Q: What sizes are available?
A: Standard size is 38x38 cm, but you can combine baseplates for larger sizes.
Q: How long does it take to make a Poksel pixel art?
A: Production takes 1-2 days after design confirmation, and the creation takes 2-4 hours.
Q: How many faces can be in one baseplate?
A: We recommend one face per base plate for best detail. More are possible (up to 2) but may reduce detail quality. If you have more than 2 faces, we recommend at least 2 base plates.
Q: Does Poksel offer full-color options?
A: Yes, we offer custom full-color options. Contact us for details.
Shipping
Q: Is the product shipped assembled?
A: No, it’s shipped unassembled with simple instructions. We also offer an assembly service if needed.
Q: Do you ship internationally?
A: Not worldwide yet, but already to many ASEAN countries.
Materials & Maintenance
Q: What material is used?
A: High-quality, durable PVC for bricks and baseplates.
Q: How to clean it if it gets dusty?
A: Use an Air Dust Blower, which is cheap and effective.
Display & Assembly
Q: How to display it?
A: Use canvas or acrylic, and either hang it or use a stand. Acrylic can be attached with 3M for a sturdy and wall-safe option. You can also make your own frame.
Q: Do the pieces easily fall apart?
A: No, it does not fall easily if assembled correctly. Press down with your hand after placing to ensure it sticks and to even out the tiles for a nicer look.
Q: What if there’s a mistake, can it be taken apart after assembly?
A: Yes, we provide an opener, or you can use your nails. It’s not too hard to take apart, but not too loose either.
Q: Ways to assemble?
A: You will receive a guidebook that divides the plate to 9 sections. You are free to start working by sections, from the border, build per line, or by color. Each method differs by preference!
Q: What if there's a mistake in the middle?
A: You need to remove pieces from the side; you can't just pull out the middle piece. Check every 5 rows to make corrections easier.
